ⓘ Note: If your institution's account has moved to the new Infobase Platform, please visit our new Help Center for the most up-to-date documentation and support.
Find the Core Video report in the Infobase Admin Portal, by clicking on "reports" in the appropriate video product placard then looking for "Core Video." If you do not have an Admin portal login, or have any questions about this process, please reach out to videosupport@infobase.com.
PLEASE NOTE: If you have moved to the new Infobase platform, the usage will be found in the Infobase Platform placard. See the reporting page in the new Help Center here. We recommend the COUNTER IR (item report) or IR_M1 (multimedia report) to get at video usage in the new platform.
Visual Guide to the Core Video report
1. The tabs where you can change the report to other content types, such as non-video content or custom content. The report will show only video content by default.
2. The filter area where you can filter by collection, subject, organization type, user type, etc.
3. The filter area where you can adjust the date range
4. The Core Video Report chart
5. The Export function for the Chart
6. The Export function for the Report
7. The Core Video Report
8. The search bar for the Core Video Report - will search title, item ID, producer, collections, and subjects
When you open the report, you will be prompted for a date range. The report will show an aggregate number for this period, so if you need a month-by-month view, you will need to run separate reports, or consider a COUNTER IR report instead.
The Core Video Report Chart shows a snapshot of all usage in your account over the period of time selected. To download a copy of this visual representation, click "Export Chart" at the upper right.
The Core Video report, which appears below the chart, includes the usage of all subscription or purchased video titles in your account (for non-video content or custom videos, see below). To export this report, click "Export Report" in the upper right.
To search the report for specific titles, use the search bar just above the report. The input into the search bar will match on the following fields: title, item ID, producer, collections, or subjects. If a title does not appear following a search, there was zero usage for this title in this period and it does not appear on the report.
The report includes the following information by default:
- Item #
- Video title
- Producer
- Copyright date
- Run-time
- # views
- # downloads
- Subjects
- Collections
- Producers
The "Add Filters" area on the upper right of the page allows you filter by organization type or institution (where there are multiple accounts in a district), subjects, collections, producers, user role, or account/location.
There are tabs above the chart which allow you to view metrics for non-video items and custom videos. Please note that the "Discontinued Title" tab shows only future discontinuations; for reports on historical discontinued titles, please email videosupport@infobase.com.
